Perennial plants are the backbone of nearly every flower garden. Herbaceous perennials die back to the ground at the end of the season and then reemerge from the same roots the following year. Perennial plants are  easy-care, dependable performers and offer an enormous variety of color, texture, form, fragrance and beauty.

The lifespan, bloom time, culture and form of perennial plants varies greatly. Some species, such as lupines and delphiniums, are short-lived perennials, with a lifespan of just three or four years. Other perennials may live as long as fifteen years, or even, in the case of peonies, a lifetime.

For shade, sun and everywhere in between many cultivars and species are available for the perennial gardener! Come, get inspired by our beautiful display gardens and find your perfect perennial in our extensive perennial yard.
